Look!! We have eggs! Well, 3 so far, over the last 7 days. There was a white feather in the nest, so I think it may be Faye (the speckled sussex) who is laying. Hopefully the others will follow shortly. Here is a picture of the egg. It is the little one on the right. The one on the left is a store bought one. So, they are much smaller right now.

The Speckled Sussex eggs are a much lighter brown than the others. Hard to tell from this photo, but it will probably be more apparent once more hens start laying.

Congratulations on the eggs! I’m sure they’ll be delicious. With our ducks, one started laying and within 2 weeks, I think they all were — maybe your girls will follow a similar pattern!
Kaia’s getting so big! Looks like she’s having a wonderful time.
