But our oldest 3 just molted and are almost fully feathered again, so hopefully they will start soon. The younger ones haven't started yet, but should start soon too. In the past, they have laid through the winter, just a little less productive. I've heard of dexters, but never seem to absorb much info when it comes to cows. We have some dairy intolerance in our household, so I knew we could never have a cow. Goats are a possibility though, and I'd love to have some one day... probably not right now though, with a baby on the way... maybe next fall.. No eggs right now.
