This is the copperhead (don’t proceed if you are snake squeamish!)
The hula-hoop that it’s next to is 3/4 ” in diameter.
Heidi took the snake and skinned it! We may make a piece of jewelery for Kaia so she can wear her attacker. Maybe it will give her a bit of snake protection in the future!
This is Kaia’s poor leg ~24 hours post bite. The yellow points to the fang marks. I told her she should tell people she stepped on a vampire… she liked that! It’s hard to tell how swollen her leg is from this picture, but the skin was pulled very tight! The writing is for the doctors to see how the swelling was progressing and where to measure her leg to see if the swelling is going down.
If all goes well and her lab work keeps improving, she should come home tomorrow!! Yay!!
That poor kid. Let me know when she is home. Would she like a new book?
{{shudder}} that is an ugly snake
Poor Kaia. Hope she’s home soon!
amazing – so glad it’s dead!
Keep fighting those vampires Kaia! Hugs to all of you!

So glad you are feeling better. When I was little and playing with my brother on our carport porch. A rattlesnake bit him. He was two and was in the hospital for many days. You are a brave girl. Yiayia loves you and sendind you hugs and kisses and the girls sending you slobbers and puppy dog slobbers. Keep the doors closed.
how about an amulet bag out of the snake skin?!
glad she is doing better.
Maria, GASP!!! as a mother I am amazed at your level of calm… at least as it appears in words. I would love to reconnect with you… email me if you find the time, and much love and concern for your sweet girl.
