After the rains…

It’s been raining off and on for the last few weeks in large downpours. Last night was another one of those. So, now we are having a great mushroom bloom! I know some of these are edible, but I’m not daring enough to try them.

    Wow those are huge. When I was a kid and we found mushrooms we would jump on them to see if they had any powder blow out..

    I found 5 or 6 more varieties just this afternoon!!

    The students may be coming out here for a mushroom walk with the local “mushroom Man”. So, we will know what is a delicacy and what is not!

    Wow! Lots of mushrooms. That will be interesting to learn more about them from the “mushroom man!”

    I seem to remember an episode on Mushrooms on Good Eats where Alton Brown was bring followed around the woods by Death.

    You certainly have a wide variety and certainly some of them are edible. But mushrooms are definately one of those things you need to be CERTAIN about before going for it.
